Roslyn, WA, Sunday February 16, 2009

So, first things first. This morning we had zucchini-pineapple bread with hot cranberry applesauce. The bread was so delicious! I loved it. The owners were kind enough to give me the recipe! But after we ate breakfast we got ready for church. We attended the Cle Elum Branch and we only stayed for sacrament meeting. When we arrived at the church there wasn't a lot of people. Including us, there were probably about thirty people total. After church we decided to go check out Roslyn, WA because we were told that they were on the TV show Northern Exposures. Here is what we found.This has to be one of my favorite pictures, because there is an old door above the business sign. There had to have been a balcony up there a long time ago. These old store fronts are all original. Which is very cool. Devin and I really enjoyed looking at them.

The Brick was a fun place to look at. For dinner we ate here to say that we've eaten at The Brick. I bet you are all thinking that we are bar hoppers now since this is the second bar we've eaten at. But that is pretty much all that is hear. We wanted to eat at places that we couldn't eat at home. We wanted to eat at places that were specific for this area only .

It's kind of hard to see this pictures since it is so dark. But this is the first thing you see when you walk in, the bar. But the coolest part of it is that below the people's feet is the trauf that people used to spit their tobacco in back in the late 1800's and early 1900's. That makes this bar pretty unique. The food here was so good! We had chicken alfredo, 1 pound of french fries, and fried shrimp. So good!

Since it's so dark, you cannot really tell what's on this wall. But there are cowboy boots lined up on shelves. I thought it was kind of neat.
